SolGen eyes Filing case vs de Lima over illegal drugs under her watch

Just in, the solicitor General Jose Calida said that he is now studying for possible case against Senator Leila de Lima over alleged proliferation of illegal drugs during her time as the Justice Secretary under previous administration.

He also made statement alongside Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa, after they said that they would support PNP personnel who would be “harassed” by cases filed against them as they perform their individual duty.

The campaign against illegal drugs in our country drawn widespread concern over lack of due process in some cases and a possible violation of human rights, as more than hundreds of drug related suspects have been killed, mostly by police and by vigilantes.
“Don’t be afraid of any Senate or Congress investigation. We will defend you,” Calida promised the police as he appeared, unscheduled, at Camp Crame.
