According to Vladimir Putin, anyone who does not see what “Duterte has achieved and is achieving is blind”. “Ramos is blind. You do not need medicated spectacles to see what Duterte has done” – Putin said.

Putin added that, Ramos is being moved by the complaints from the international community and not accessing the change he is witnessing in his own country.

“The Philippines is “losing badly” in the first 100 days of President Rodrigo Duterte in office, former President Fidel Ramos said.

“This is a huge disappointment and let-down to many of us,” Ramos said in a column published in the Manila Bulletin.

Ramos based his assessment of Duterte’s first 100 days on two concepts of importance — leadership and teamwork.

The former president, however, noted that there is enough time to correct the flaws of the current administration so that the Philippines can emerge as a competitive country.

  1. Ramos had been a President of the country and achieved nothing but reinforced to plant the seeds of corruption, thievery, patronage politics, puppetry to foreign interest and worst polarization. He the oligarchs and foreigners become richer and brazenly greedy while the Filipino people wallow in hardship, misery and poverty and state sponsored impunity.

Now he has the gall to criticize Duterte whose achievement is unparalleled in the history of the country, if not the world over, as far as fighting criminality and taking care of the welfare of the masses is concerned.

  2. Putin is right... But I also give credit to Former President Fidel Ramos staement in calling the attention and the need for our President R R Duterte to be more cautious and careful on his lack of "Statesmanship" in his Public speeches which damaged his good image and may badly hurt and possibly lost our good relationship and support with our long time ally and friends like US and the European Union states.
However, Mr Ramos criticsm could have been more balanced, fair and therefore, credible if he mentoned and give credit also to the good accomplishments of the present ( Duterte's ) administration..

    Nobody is perfect...
