Sweden has expressed support for PH government's infrastructure and transportation plan!

MANILA - A business delegation from Sweden has expressed support for government's infrastructure and transportation plan, the transportation department said Monday.

The delegation expressed interest in government projects such as the development of a bus rapid transit system using high-quality and high-capacity buses, promotion of electric cars, and cleaner fuel alternatives, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said.

"The expression of support from the Swedish delegation is not only a welcome development following the launch of big-ticket transportation projects, but also demonstrates a strong business climate that goes beyond the country’s strengthened partnerships with China and Japan," the DOTr said in a statement.

Ambassador of Sweden to the Philippines Harald Fries and the Swedish Minister for Enterprise and Innovation Mikael Damberg led the business delegation's courtesy visit to Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade. Volvo and Scania representatives were also present in the meeting, the DOTr said.
