Gordon: Trillanes, De Lima behind Matobato complaint vs. Duterte!

Senator Richard Gordon sees the involvement of Senators Antonio Trillanes IV and Leila de Lima in the complaint filed by confessed hitman Edgar Matobato against President Rodrigo Duterte.

“Nasa likod niyan si Trillanes tsaka si De Lima eh,” Senator Richard Gordon said in a Balitanghali interview, recalling that it was the two senators who presented Matobato as a witness during the Senate inquiry on extrajudicial killings (EJKs).

Senator De Lima was the chairman of the Senate justice and human rights committee when Matobato was presented as a witness. She said then that she sought the help of Trillanes to secure Matobato’s safety.

“‘Yan ang mahirap eh. Kapag tapos na 'yung imbestigasyon, tapos na. Kung gusto nila mag-appear, mag-appear sila sa Senado. Eh committee 'yan, magagaling naman members ng committee. Bakit sila aayaw?” Gordon said.
