Flyovers, Underpass in Cebu City to Start Construction This Year Under Pres. Duterte
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) under the administration of Pres. Rody Duterte will start the construction of flyovers, and underpass in Cebu City as confirmed by City Mayor Tomas Osmeña.
The big-ticket infrastructure projects in Cebu will help ease traffic congestion in the Queen City of the South which is also considered as the most developed city outside of Metro Manila.

These big-ticket projects by the DPWH includes construction of an underpass on the Mambaling Access Road exit to the South Road Properties (SRP), to give commuters from the south quicker access to the city's downtown areas.
Once the Duterte projects will be finished as promised by the Duterte admin, the underpass will become the second underpass in the City of Cebu, next to the one built at the entrance of the Cebu South Coastal Road.

According to Mayor Tomas Osmeña of Cebu City, aside from the underpass project, a total of 20 flyovers will be built also in different areas of the city of Cebu.
Although the mayor decline to reveal which streets these flyovers will be built, a detailed engineering design will still be done.

The DPWH 7 has been authorized to hire consultants who will prepare the detailed engineering design. The underpass and flyover projects in Cebu City will be funded by the National Government under the administration of Pres. Rody Duterte.
The Duterte admin's other major projects in Cebu City includes the P10.6-billion Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project. Mayor Osmeña revealed that officials from Cebu City are expected to fly to Manila soon to work on the other requirements of the project.
