A post claiming that Loida Lewis and another character involved in the #LeniLeaks saga faces the risk of spending jail time in the US if proven guilty.

Journalist, Ira Panganiban post on his facebook writes:

"Ay!!! Loida and Laguatan have problema pala!!!! Because there is batas in the Amerika that can make them kulong because of #Lenileaks!!!"

A quick search in Google tells us that indeed there is such a thing as the Neutrality Act. According to the Wikipedia, Neutrality Act of 1794 makes it illegal for an American to wage war against any country at peace with the United States. The Act declares in part:

If any person shall within the territory or jurisdiction of the United States begin or set on foot or provide or prepare the means for any military expedition or enterprise against the territory or dominions of any foreign prince or state of whom the United States was at peace that person would be guilty of a misdemeanor.

The act also forbids foreign war vessels to outfit in American waters and sets a three-mile territorial limit at sea, Wikipedia said. The act was amended several times and remains in force. Most recent wherein the Neutrality Act was enforced occurred last year. The post has garnered 1560 shares, 187 comments and more than 3,000 reactions on Facebook as of this writing.
