De Lima has pictures with Kerwin Espinosa, despite claiming she never met him!

Senator Leila de Lima has denied all allegations that she is tied with Kerwin Espinosa and that together they led the proliferation of drugs in the New Bilibid Prison.

De Lima said she didn't know Espinosa, or his father late Rolando Espinosa who was killed while being detained.

However, images of De Lima alongside Kerwin in Baguio City circulated in social media.

Political analyst Antonio Contreras was one of the many who shared the photo and accused De Lima of lying.

Several netizens, such as Florence Quijada shared photos of De Lima in the same location in Burnham park in Baguio where the shot with her and Espinosa was taken.

The netizens said that if she was lying about never having met with Espinosa in Baguio, why were there photos of her on a similar day wearing the same shirt?

De Lima, as can be recalled, answered these allegations on August this year saying that she was in fact in Baguio taking pictures and that would have been a "chanced meeting".

“They were just among those who asked to take a photo with me. That’s not something like an arranged meeting or what. That was just a chance meeting, if that was in Baguio,” the senator said.

“I think we were just going around and they approached me. I don’t know him. I don’t remember this. I’m sure of that,” she said.
