LOOK: Old Photo of Former chief CIDG-8 with late Albuera Leyte Mayor Rolando Espinosa Sr. has gone viral

An old photo of Chief Supt. Marvin Marcos and former Mayor of Albuera, Leyte Rolando Espinosa Sr. together was making rounds on the internet.

The photo was uploaded by Coolzeron on MIO facebook group and claimed that Marcos said that he didn’t met Rolando Espinosa Sr. However, according to some reports, Marcos only told the committee that the only person he didn’t met before was Kerwin.

“”Para ako suhulan o maging protektor ni Kerwin, napaka-imposible po noon. Hindi ko po siya kilala, at hindi po kami nagkita kahit minsan” Marcos said yesterday during the senate hearing of Mayor Espinosa's killing.

The former chief of CIDG-8 who led the operation that left Albuera, Leyte Mayor Espinosa Sr. dead inside his jail, denied the accusation that he received money from the Espinosas.

He also told the committee members that they have parted ways since January 2013 before the election where Kerwin affirmed he gave worth of P3-M drug money to him.

Marcos believe that Espinosas' holds a grudge against him after he helped arrest to two gunmen with ties to them.

Yesterday, PNP chief Bato Dela Rosa expressed his disappointment after hearing the testimonies of Kerwin Espinosa against the police officers he trusted to take care of the war on drugs in Region 8.
