After Korean’s death, Duterte warns kidnapper-cops: "You’ll suffer the same fate"

President Rodrigo Duterte issued an ominous warning to policemen engaged in kidnapping activities Thursday (Jan. 19) after news broke out about a Korean national who was allegedly killed by cops last year.

In his speech at the oahttaking of new police officials in Malacanang, Duterte said: “Gaya ng pulis na nag-kidnap.

Aba they will… Sabi ko nga, kayong mga nasa gobyerno, I don’t know about your officers, but if you ask me, you will suffer the same fate.”

“Ewan ko kung kailan, pero may araw talaga na ma-timingan ko kayo,” he added.

While Duterte said he has never ordered PNP chief Director General Ronald Dela Rosa or any other officials to take the law into their hands, he reminded cops of the threat he has often uttered for those who break the law.

“I’ve always said, ‘papatayin ko kayo,'” the President said.

Dela Rosa on Thursday (Jan. 19) admitted that Hanjin executive Jee Ick Joo was strangled to death inside a vehicle parked within PNP’s national headquarters on the day he was abducted from his Angeles City, Pampanga home on Oct. 18, 2016.

Jee’s wife said she gave the businessman’s abductors P5 million for his release a few days after he was kidnapped, without the knowledge that he was already dead.
