SPO3 STA. ISABEL IN KOREAN SLAY: “I WAS JUST FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS”

SPO3 Ricky Sta. Isabel accused of killing Jee Ick Joo, a South Korean businessman. According to SPO3 Sta. Isabel, he just followed the instructions given to him by his team leader, Supt. Rafael Dumlao, and high-ranking police officials.

"Si Attorney Rafael Dumlao [ang nagbigay ng instruction]. Sabihin ko na lang sa proper forum. Lahat sila may kopya ng ebidensya ko," he said.

Recently, last October 2016, SPO3 Sta. Isabel with his men forcibly took the Korean from his house in Pampanga, saying they were performing an anti-illegal drugs operation.On Friday, SPO3 said revealed that those who are pointing to him as the most guilty because they protecting high-ranking officials.

"Talagang ganun meron silang pinagtatakpan para hindi masira ang organisasyon," he said.

"Mga involved dito [na] matataas na tao." He refused to mention names, saying it was not the "proper time" for him to do so.”

"Negosyanteng pulis ako, sumusunod lang ako sa instruction nila," he stressed.

"Court na ang bahalang mag-prove. Sa court na lang mas maganda, may dokumento naman," he said.

He said that he was ready and no problem being detained after he first sought protection with the NBI.

"Wala tayong choice. Respect natin ang authority ni chief PNP. Maganda nga na personal niya akong makita,"

When asked if he want to face PNP chief dela Rosa, "Mas maganda para malaman niya kung ano ang tutuo," he said.
